The Ravaged House: Zoroku’s Disease (2004)

In a rural village, Zoroku lives with his sister, Haruko. Their peaceful life is shattered when Zoroku contracts a strange disease that causes painful blisters and disfigurement. His parents, worried about the villagers' reaction, confine him to their home. However, the village chief witnesses Zoroku's condition, leading to widespread mistreatment of both siblings. Unable to bear her brother's suffering, their parents decide to end his life. Haruko attempts to intervene, and the pair flee their home, unsure of what the future holds.
