Each year, over a thousand climbers attempt to summit Mount Everest, with nearly half of those successful attempts made by Sherpas – the mountain's often-unrecognized support system. The Sherpa community has long kept their culture and experiences hidden. Now, they share their world for the first time. Essential to every expedition, Sherpas risk their lives daily for the safety of others, yet they remain focused on supporting others rather than seeking recognition. This film follows the stories of four Sherpas – Phurba, Ngima, Ngima Tenji, and Gelu – revealing the realities of their lives both on the mountain and with their families back home.
