Description:
Tuesday Morning Ride adapts "A Summer Tragedy," a short story by Harlem Renaissance author Arna Bontemps. The story unfolds in the 1930s, focusing on an elderly couple—a man recovering from a stroke and a woman who is blind—who feel abandoned by their children. Believing they have lost all reason to live, they choose to dress in their best and embark on one last drive in their car, a journey from which they will not return. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film.
