Description:
This is the first part of a two-part romance adapted from a story by Kikuchi Kan. Toyomi (Takako Irie), a wealthy young woman, is deeply in love with Shintaro (Minoru Takada), another wealthy young man. However, Shintaro's father is arranging a marriage for him with Yurie (Chieko Takehisa), from an even wealthier family. To escape this, Toyomi and Shintaro flee to Tokyo to live together. When Shintaro returns to announce his intention to marry Toyomi, his father pressures him into attending the arranged marriage meeting with Yurie. While Shintaro is away, Toyomi takes a trip with her close friend Michiko (Yumeko Aizome). At a class reunion, Toyomi is so upset by Shintaro's silence that she skips the social events. Michiko, however, encounters Shintaro and Yurie, and confronts him for an explanation.
