Description:
Following World War II, "Pandora's Box" centers on Risuke (Shota Sometani), a young man with tuberculosis who seeks treatment at a specialized countryside nursing facility. There, everyone uses nicknames, and Risuke chooses to become Hibari. While recovering, Hibari forms connections with patients and nurses. After his friend Tsuikushi (Yosuke Kubozuka) is released, Hibari writes to him about his relationships with Dakesang (Mieko Kawakami), the head nurse, and Mabo (Riisa Naka), a cheerful nurse who appears to be fond of him.
