Description:
This film chronicles the life of Issei Sagawa, a Japanese student who murdered his Dutch girlfriend, dismembered her, boiled her remains, and consumed them. Found insane, he later documented his crime in the book "In the Fog," which became a bestseller. Released from a French psychiatric hospital in 1984, with the condition he remain in Japan, he was released from the Japanese facility a year later. Since then, Sagawa has authored five books on crime and gained notoriety among avant-garde circles. In the film, Sagawa discusses his experiences and reads from his writings.
