Description:
Diwakar, a poet deeply devoted to his wife Jamuna, is viewed by her as increasingly detached from reality, lost in a world of fantasy. His obsession culminates in creating a persona, Mohini, within his wife's body. As Diwakar gains recognition as a poet and Jamuna gives birth to a son, their happiness is short-lived. He loses his job for writing critical songs against the British, leaving them struggling to support his ailing father and starving child. This hardship fuels Jamuna's anger, but more than that, she is troubled by Diwakar’s growing fixation on Mohini. Facing separation, Diwakar is devastated and unable to defend himself. Jamuna eventually realizes she cannot live without him and forgives him.
