A struggling movie theater staff discovers a mysterious film reel hidden in the ceiling. Assuming it’s an old B-movie preview, they play it before a midnight showing of George A. Romero’s 'Night of the Living Dead.' The film turns out to be a Nazi scientist's mind control experiment, transforming the horror fans into flesh-hungry zombies. Ten survivors must fight to stay alive as the cinema is overrun, while government agents plot to stop the outbreak. 'Dead at the Box Office' is a humorous tribute to 1970s and 80s low-budget horror, blending classic "B" movie elements with a new take on the zombie story.
