Description:
"Blekingegade Band" is the true story of young Danish idealists who gradually abandoned their principles. They jeopardized their own futures and the safety of others while attempting to fund a cause larger than themselves. Beginning as political activists, they became increasingly entangled in a complex organization with both legal and illegal operations. Some members pulled back, while others became fully committed. The story culminates in November 1988 with Denmark's largest heist and the murder of a 22-year-old police officer. The film features interviews with activists from that era, including those most deeply involved, as well as the police who relentlessly pursued the gang but failed to prevent the tragic events in Købmagergade.
