The Daring Nun (1968)

Sister Shunko, a unique nun at Senjuan, believes religious women should engage with the modern world. She befriends a young girl named Ikuko and protects her from a gangster named Goro. Shunko rejects several admirers, leading one to report her to the Mother Superior. The Mother Superior, though open-minded, takes no action. Later, Goro’s boss visits Shunko, demanding Ikuko's return and threatening to blackmail her if she refuses.
