Description:

In 1974, documentary filmmaker Tom Alandh made a television report about institutions for people with intellectual disabilities. He then met Martina, a five-year-old with Down syndrome. For 35 years, a first for Swedish television, Tom Alandh and photographer Björn Henriksson documented Martina's life and her challenges against considerable obstacles.
