Description:
Sir Basil, isolated in his English estate, brings his adult, illegitimate children together as he ages. He uses a ledger detailing payments to former lovers to find two of them; a third is located in New York by a lawyer, as her mother refused financial support. Sir Basil is a difficult man, and his three children struggle to connect with him initially. Toni, American, is a free spirit with aspirations in show business. Jeffery, English, is somewhat refined, and Maria, Italian, is passionate. They slowly form bonds, particularly between Sir Basil and Toni, whose lively personality eventually endears her to him. However, past relationships resurface, jeopardizing Sir Basil's hopes for a peaceful life with his children.
