Description:
In a small Serbian village, reports about the upcoming parliamentary elections fill the airwaves. A local traffic policeman patiently teaches his grandmother how to use a mobile phone. Throughout the film, glimpses of this elderly woman, living a solitary life on a remote farm, connect the various scenes of everyday life in the close-knit community. We see the grocer's shop where men discuss money and politics, the postman delivering election ballots on his moped, the policeman selectively directing traffic, the school with its few students in a large classroom, the pub offering occasional moments of joy. And repeatedly, the old woman visits the doctor to discuss her health, and shares her concerns about theft with the village priest.
