Description:
During a scorching summer, Nikos and Alain, two male prostitutes, and Monica, their pimp, form an unusual bond after meeting on a secluded street called POUTANA. They develop a romantic relationship, engaging in activities like playing with guns and discussing finances, card games, and theater auditions. The story questions whether this is a self-invented game to fill time in a deserted summer house, perhaps influenced by the writings of Jean Genet. Whether reflecting their reality or a distorted vision of it, the novel *I Afroditi Stin Avli* uses literary and artistic references to guide its isolated characters toward a breakdown.
