Description:
Filmed by an Iraqi camera crew, this film offers an intimate view of life in post-war Iraq through the eyes of twelve-year-old Kheer Allah. He lives with his mother, father, two brothers, and a sister in a home with no furniture or modern conveniences, except for a television and radio balanced on tires. The family struggles with extreme poverty, relying on homemade bread as their main food source. Kheer Allah cannot attend school and must work daily to support his family. The film follows him as he navigates the war-torn streets of his neighborhood, using his charm to find odd jobs that bring him little financial reward but much personal fulfillment.
