Description:
Inspired by the 1970s feminist movement, a parallel revolution of lesbian women writers, philosophers, and activists emerged, largely concluding around 1995. Filmmaker Myriam Fougère explores this history, meeting the women who shaped a revolutionary sisterhood. Traveling from Montreal to Texas, via New York, Myriam connects with lesbians who consciously chose lives exclusively with other women. This often overlooked, international movement is vividly portrayed through archival materials and intimate interviews with these pioneering women, many now in their seventies and eighties.
