Description:
Magdalena and Michael have been in love since childhood. However, when the Nazis seize power, Michael rebels and is imprisoned for fifteen years in a concentration camp. Magdalena escapes and goes into hiding with a friend, eventually immigrating to the Soviet Union. Michael, now with the Red Army, learns of Magdalena's presence in Moscow. But by the time his plane lands, she is already returning to Germany. Michael holds onto the hope that they will be together again someday.
