Election Collectables (2000)

This short film reimagines a home shopping network, featuring Al Gore and George W. Bush pitching a "super-premium" collectible lamp celebrating the 2000 presidential election. The film asks if politicians are simply peddling pre-packaged political ideas to an apathetic public. San Francisco filmmaker Bryan Boyce uses a technique to add infomercial blowholes to the candidates' faces, portraying them as manufactured and endorsed like the products they promote.
