"Ruk Jub Jai: The Romantic Musical" is a romance musical about a superstar who falls for a blind woman. Praised by theatre critic Alongkorn Parivudhiphongs as captivating bubblegum entertainment, the stage production was a surprising success, playing 49 times at Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre with over 60,000 audience members. The play’s movie adaptation premiered on November 22nd at Major Cineplex cinemas, marking the first time a Thai stage show had been adapted for the big screen. GTH Studio filmed the movie using special equipment to capture the live performances, including some scenes without an audience. The romantic comedy film features more intimate close-ups of the relationship between Sukrit Wisetkaew (Bie) and Nuengthida Sophon (Noona), who play a singing superstar and a blind girl, respectively.
