Description:
The Great American Bash (2008), the fifth annual event, was presented by AT&T and held on July 20, 2008, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The card featured wrestlers from Raw, SmackDown, and ECW. The main SmackDown match was Triple H versus Edge for the WWE Championship. The main Raw match was CM Punk against Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. The primary ECW match was Mark Henry versus Tommy Dreamer for the ECW Championship. Other notable matches included John Cena facing JBL in a New York City Parking Lot Brawl, and Shawn Michaels versus Chris Jericho.
