Description:
This 1943 Technicolor musical stars Dorothy Lamour and Dick Powell. Lamour plays Ann Castle, who travels west to take possession of her father's silver mine. Powell is Steve Baird, a mining engineer also interested in the same mine. With assistance from the resourceful counterfeiter Mortimer J. Slocum, Steve and Ann sell mining stock, preventing Ann's financial ruin. When the investors suspect they've been deceived, a sudden turn of events resolves the crisis. The film also features Cass Daley and Gil Lamb. The movie boasts impressive visuals and lively musical numbers, though its predictable storyline is its weakest point.
