Description:
Set in 1650 New Amsterdam, this period musical-comedy follows the arrival of Governor Peter Stuyvesant. Stuyvesant, a stern leader, orders the death of Brom Broeck, a newspaper publisher famous for exposing corruption. Unable to find grounds for capital punishment, Stuyvesant patiently awaits Broeck's transgression. Meanwhile, Broeck is romantically involved with Tina Tienhoven, whose sister Ulda is dating his best friend, Ten Pin. After Stuyvesant has Broeck arrested on false charges, he sets his sights on winning Tina's heart.
