Description:
Backlash (2001), a Castrol GTX pay-per-view event held on April 29, 2001, at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, was the third installment in the Backlash series. The main event featured a tag team match for the WWF Championship, the WWF Intercontinental Championship, and the WWF Tag Team Championship, pitting The Two Man Power Trip (Steve Austin and Triple H) against the Brothers of Destruction (Kane and The Undertaker). The winner would claim the Tag Team Championship and the championship of the wrestler who was defeated. Other matches included a Last Man Standing match between Shane McMahon and The Big Show, and an Ultimate Submission match between Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle.
