Description:
Paul Yeager, a man with a dark past, takes a bartending job in New Orleans at La Cage du Verre, a nightclub where he reconnects with his ex-girlfriend Jacqueline. She's now the partner of Marko, the club's ruthless owner. Paul and Jacqueline become involved in smuggling diamonds and drugs, with the local police detective secretly complicit. Though a former CIA operative, Paul isn’t working undercover; he simply wants to win Jacqueline back. His old colleagues from the CIA are there hoping to arrest Marko's boss. Detective Montrachet discovers Paul's history and plans a betrayal. Her motives remain ambiguous: is she seeking a reunion with Paul, loyalty to Marko, or a chance to profit from the situation and disappear?
