Description:
"Zaman" is a poignant story of love, devotion, hope, and fear. Zaman (Sami Kaftan) and his wife, Najma (Shatha Salim), have created a peaceful life in their home, and have raised Yacine (Hussein Imad), an orphan from the 1991 Gulf War, as their own son. Their quiet happiness is shattered when Najma falls ill, requiring surgery or a rare medicine the local doctor cannot provide. Zaman embarks on a journey up the Tigris River to Baghdad in search of the cure. This journey becomes a path of salvation and self-discovery for Zaman, "the Man of the Reeds."
