For 120 years, the Sisters of Compassion have resided in the isolated village of Jerusalem on New Zealand's Whanganui River. Now, only three nuns remain, signaling the end of their presence there. The film follows Sister Margaret Mary, the newest arrival from a local school, over a year as she integrates into the Sisters' life.
