Description:
A singer at the height of her career, Anna Herman suffers a devastating car accident and is left in a coma for twelve days. During this time, she is forced to relive painful memories from her past: her father's arrest for espionage, her family's nomadic life in Central Asia, the death of her brother, and the war that led them to seek refuge in Poland from the NKVD. She remembers her first love and early successes. Doctors doubt she will survive, and if she does, they predict she will be permanently paralyzed. But after miraculously emerging from the coma, Anna defies all expectations and becomes a celebrated star of the Soviet stage.
