Description:
Carol believes her husband, John, has become distant and suspects he's involved with another woman. She consults a doctor and then hires a private detective, taking matters into her own hands. She orchestrates a plan involving Eric, a man who has long pursued her, leading him to an apartment where she and John are hiding. They discover Carol’s best friend, Charlotte, and John in a closet. John, enraged, accuses Carol of infidelity. The argument continues at home, and their daughter Janet announces she and Paul are leaving to get married, despite their parents' conflict. Carol and John follow them to a hotel and find them in a hotel room, leading John to demand an immediate marriage ceremony, brandishing a fire-ax.
