Description:
A vibrant display of hand-painted and stenciled artwork by Lye, this film was sponsored by Imperial Airways and features the airline's iconic "speedbird" symbol. The soundtrack includes Red Nichols' "Honolulu Blues" and a rumba by the Lecuona Cuban Boys. Time Magazine hailed the film, calling Lye "England’s alternative to Walt Disney." Like his other works, Colour Flight was not released in the US because it was an advertising film made for overseas distribution. - Harvard Film Archive
