Description:
War disrupts the life of a young Vietnamese boy. At ten years old, he lives with his mother and baby sister while his father joins the Viet Cong. His mother dies from exhaustion and lack of medical care during his father's absence. He cares for his sister, working odd jobs like shoe shining to survive, until his father returns. The film depicts both an American soldier and a Viet Cong fighter defending their nation's cause, alongside scenes of guerilla warfare and bombings. It is directed by Raoul Coutard, a veteran combat photographer.
