Description:
Eighteen-year-old Esther is deaf and blind, a result of the accident that took her mother's life. Margaret Landi, originally from Esther's Irish village and wealthy, agrees to help educate and potentially heal her. As Margaret develops a deep affection for Esther, she becomes concerned about Esther’s vulnerability to unscrupulous people, including exploitative promoters and Margaret's own disreputable ex-husband.
