Description:
When his father is jailed for stopping a train to reunite two friends, an aspiring film student loses his state university scholarship. He takes a job as a land surveyor and encounters a Greek man dedicated to improving the lives of peasants. The man is killed in a peasant uprising sparked by government corruption. Caring for the surveyor's widow, he becomes increasingly aware of injustice and begins to protest government wrongdoing. A further incident, where Roma people are wrongly detained by health officials, solidifies his convictions. He photographs the event, and the resulting work earns him admission to the university he was previously denied.
