Description:
Against the backdrop of Communist changes in Georgia following the 1917 Revolution, Eva and Archil share a profound love and promise eternal devotion. Their marriage is shattered by Archil's sudden death, leaving Eva alone and childless. Spiridon, a ruthless man, then enters her life, winning her over and marrying her. His coldness deeply affects Eva, dimming her spirit and leading to emotional distance in their marriage. They adopt a daughter who remains detached from her parents' unhappiness. When Communist officials arrive, promoting the October Revolution, Eva begins to see her husband in a new light as he embraces the movement. However, his decision to reveal a past crime creates a rift, ultimately prompting their grown daughter to question her parents' complicated lives.
