Description:
This tragic romantic drama follows Pierre, a 16-year-old French boy, and Djemila, a 14-year-old of Algerian immigrant heritage, as they experience the intensity of forbidden love. Pierre's father, an Algerian war veteran, allows the family to live together only if the two groups remain apart. Djemila’s brother harbors deep resentment towards the French due to the historical invasion of Algeria. When their families discover the young couple's passionate relationship, they both become victims of their families' intolerance.
