Description:
This black and white drama, reminiscent of both American westerns and film noir, sees a quiet town disrupted by the arrival of two enigmatic strangers. Angel is traveling with his friend Max to Honeyfield, Australia, intending to return home to pass away. However, he dies at sea, entrusting his boots and an unopened package to be delivered to "The Dead Man" in Honeyfield. Also aboard is Tatts, a less than agreeable individual who secretly follows Angel to the town. The package, Angel’s dying wish stated, holds something its recipient has unknowingly desired. Upon finding the recipient – the town's influential and unpleasant owner – Angel discovers the package contains opium.
