Description:
In a small Arizona town, simmering tensions between Anglo and Mexican-American teenagers erupt into violence. Tony, a new student, tries to bridge the gap between the rival groups. Paco leads the Mexican gang, fueled by resentment stemming from past prejudice against some of the white students. Bruce heads the white gang. Patty McCormack and Joanna Frank are caught in the crossfire. Tony, who moved from San Diego, attempts to shift the attitudes of these polarized and violent groups. Simms, a bigoted teacher, exacerbates the conflict, while the school principal, Wilson, is unable to prevent the violence between the two factions.
