In a city saturated with heavy metal and echoes of Maria Callas, an elderly ex-terrorist known as "Red Maria" lives on the fringes of society. Dressed as a woman, he survives as a street performer and prostitute, dancing outdated routines for spare change. He encounters a young street urchin, near death after a neo-fascist attack. The boy, battling addiction, hallucinates conversations with Maria Callas and his deceased mother, dreaming of an ideal world during an overdose. Red Maria rescues the boy and takes him under his wing, teaching him his trade. Together, they stage performances in cafes, expressing a radical political message about the failure of ideology and a new, unconventional "God."
