Description:
In 1970s West Berlin, Edda Chiemnyjewski, a freelance press photographer and single mother, discovers that personal life is difficult to maintain amidst societal concerns. She also struggles to find an audience for a documentary project by her women's photography group, which aims to capture the essence of the city. While Berlin appears as a post-war landscape from a modern viewpoint, the precarious lives of freelancers remain largely unchanged. Helke Sander, who stars in the film, uses self-deprecating humor to depict a life navigating a divided city and a divided world.
