Description:
Traveling to the capital for the imperial exam, scholar Sung Li Ho is accompanied by his loyal manservant. They stop for the night at Mrs. Yuan's house, where Li Ho becomes infatuated with her daughter, Pei Fang. He is caught by a maid while secretly watching Pei Fang bathing, and ends up falling into the bathtub, creating an awkward scene. Both Li Ho and his servant are punished and expelled after the incident. Continuing their journey through the countryside, they meet woodcutter Hsi Hsueh Kuei, who offers them lodging. Enchanted by his hosts' two daughters, who are vampires, Li Ho spends the night with them and is transformed into a skeleton. He narrowly escapes the vampires' pursuit.
