Description:
This film explores the social hierarchy among employees at a brokerage firm. Alan, who admires the British aristocracy, and his cat-loving wife April, are part of the scene. Alan's friends, Nigel, Giles, and Anthony, frequently host lively, wine-fueled dinner parties with Samantha, who is outspoken, and Caroline, who is reserved. Meanwhile, the aristocratic Lord and Lady Crouchurst seek assistance from senior partner Francis with their family finances. One evening, Alan returns home to find Mr. Shakespeare photographing one of April's cats, and a wealthy woman, Miss Hunt, is there to buy it. Alan's tendency to engage in flattering conversation takes over.
