Description:
Germany, 1945. Twenty-five-year-old Ellen is involved in the resistance against the Nazis. She begins an affair with Robert, a charming English secret agent, after they meet. Ellen is tasked with spying on German naval officer Hans, who is assigned to the U-boat U-864 on a secret mission. Despite her orders, Ellen develops feelings for Hans. Though he is engaged, Hans is also drawn to her. Ellen manages to deliver vital information about the submarine's precise route to Japan, confirming English suspicions that Hitler intends to use a new weapon against the weakened Japanese. The U-864 departs its port, its crew facing a bleak outlook as the war turns against Germany.
