Description:
Marie, a Canadian editor who specializes in stories from genocide survivors, begins receiving mysterious, large envelopes containing the life story of Ali, a young Palestinian who spent his childhood in a Lebanese refugee camp. Intrigued, Marie investigates the sender and discovers the identity of the anonymous writer. This leads her to Joseph, a Lebanese worker hired to paint her office, and an unusual connection forms between them, despite their vastly different backgrounds. However, Joseph suddenly vanishes, and Marie, driven by her commitment to the story, embarks on a journey into Lebanon's past. She seeks answers in a small village, a place steeped in a culture where deception holds the key to unraveling everything.
