Description:
Six-year-old Cathy is placed in a rural foster home and gradually adjusts to the strict rules of her foster mother, Réjeanne. Her foster father, Reynald, is kind and patient, helping her open up. Twelve-year-old Kayla is sent to a group home where she befriends Morgane, a rebellious teenager planning to run away. Around the same time, Manu is released from the system on her 18th birthday, but struggles with the transition to independent life. The four of them reunite at a reception for a foster family they've all lived with before.
