Description:
Detective Danny Breznitz, in his late 40s, is recovering in the hospital after a serious car accident. His affair with Eva, a beautiful woman in her early 30s, is ending, fueled by his increasingly obsessive pursuit of her. Back home, he lives with Ruthie, his wife, a reminder of their childless marriage. After recovering, Breznitz is assigned a minor case by his dismissive boss. However, when a body is discovered in the woods and goes unnoticed, Breznitz finds a purpose. He delves into the lives of Israel's marginalized – an Arab intellectual wrongly accused of murder, a former prostitute turned hairdresser, a pimp pretending to be religious, and a gay artist ostracized by his family. This investigation becomes all-consuming and dangerous, but Breznitz is determined to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.
