The Great Outdoors: American Summer (2010)

Summer in America is often about pools, baseball, and beaches, but for a dedicated group, it’s all about outdoor motocross. The TGO crew gained exclusive access to the sport's top riders, documenting their lives both during the week and at the races. This season offers an intimate look at these athletes and their families as they compete in one of the most demanding sports. In the 450 class, an unexpected champion emerged, with American riders Mike Alessi, Andrew Short, and Josh Grant challenging two-time Supercross champion Chad Reed from Australia. Injuries, unexpected events, and dramatic performances defined the season. The 250 class saw a fierce competition throughout the summer, featuring a strong international lineup. As the season concluded, Ryan Dungey of Team Suzuki and Christophe Pourcel of Pro Circuit battled intensely, resulting in victory for one and disappointment for the other.
