Description:
A group of eccentric British travelers journey to France on the San Ferry Ann for a weekend filled with mishaps. A family in a campervan, headed by Dad (David Lodge) and Mum (Joan Sims), consistently cause trouble from the moment they arrive, repeatedly clashing with the local police. Meanwhile, Grandad (Wilfred Brambell) has comical adventures with a new friend, a quirky German ex-soldier (Ron Moody). A flirtatious hitchhiker (Barbara Windsor) attracts attention, particularly from another passenger (Ronnie Stevens), who pursues her with humorous results. By the weekend's end, the French residents might be relieved to see them depart. *San Ferry Ann* is a lighthearted comedy about British holidays, in the style of classics like *The Plank*, *Futtock's End*, and *Rhubarb Rhubarb*.
