Description:
Oliver Watson enjoys a seemingly perfect life: a successful advertising career, an 18-year marriage to Sarah, and three children – Ben (17), Melissa (15), and Sam (9). This stability is shattered when Sarah announces her decision to attend graduate school 200 miles away. She feels she sacrificed her past as a bohemian and her writing aspirations to become Oliver's wife. Oliver struggles to save their marriage, but Sarah reveals she is involved with someone else. The children react negatively, and the family faces further hardship with the death of Oliver’s mother. He accepts a job in Los Angeles and falls for Charlotte Sampson. Their happiness is tested again when Charlotte receives a coveted job offer on Broadway.
