Escape to Watership Down (2003)

This animated series adapts Richard Adams' bestselling novel, reuniting composer Mike Batt, and the voices of John Hurt and Richard Briers from the 1978 film. It tells the touching and perilous story of a group of rebellious rabbits who leave their threatened home to find a safer place in the English countryside. Hazel worries about the warren’s future – they need more females and plan to recruit the Efrafa warren, ruled by the strict General Woundwort (John Hurt). Some rabbits at Efrafa have attempted escape and faced harsh consequences. To aid these rabbits, especially a doe named Primrose, Hazel and his brother Fiver must confront Woundwort, risking everything.
