Description:

Trausti returns to Iceland and finds himself caught in a family conflict sparked by a whale that has washed ashore. His mother, the family matriarch, is fatally injured, and Grim kills Erikur, the other clan leader. Erikur's daughter, Isold, then assumes his position. Isold and Trausti are drawn to each other, but Isold is betrothed to Hjoerleifur, the Bishop's son. However, Isold has a plan.
