Description:
The Roaring Twenties brought hardship to many, with widespread unemployment and disillusionment in Norway. Prohibition created a lucrative black market, fueling large-scale smuggling. Ernst, an unemployed architect, enters this world, trading a dull existence for excitement and wealth. He loses the woman he loves, Klara, and finds a new relationship with Jenny. Alongside Hugo and Elsa, they embark on profitable car smuggling trips, but seek greater gains. Ernst expands into boat smuggling, operating across the Oslo Fjord to Rotterdam, evading police and customs with his fast torpedo boats. The story culminates in the Bygdøyslaget, a brutal confrontation between smugglers and law enforcement.
